How to best look after your bakes

Defrosting
If you receive your cakes frozen, allow for plenty of time to defrost in a cool dry place (usually at least 4 hours) before serving them.

Cutting
Cakes cut much nicer with a hot knife! To get the cleanest cut run your knife through hot water and dry between each cut. Most of our cakes have 14 peaks to make it easy to cut into 14 accurate portions.

Please Do
- Store & display all of our products at room temperature, if you store anything in the fridge please cover it up thoroughly to prevent it from drying out.
- Present your cakes in a dome to keep them fresher for longer.
- Keep cakes as whole as possible (a whole cake is much more visually appealing than 14 separate slices) and at eye level.
- Try to keep a neutral coloured background and service plates to really the colourful bakes stand out.

Please Don’t
- Leave your bakes uncovered overnight or in a chilled cabinet all day, they will lose their moisture.
- Put your products near a source of heat – this can cause premature drying out.
- Serve your products past their best before date, they will not taste as good as they should.
